39.5 h/week

BioQuant is Heidelberg University's interdisciplinary research center for the quantitative analysis of molecular and cellular systems. Research at the BioQuant integrates theoretical modeling approaches, laboratory experiments and technology development. BioQuant has an immediate vacancy for a full-time position in the Department of Protein Evolution at the Faculty of Engineering in Heidelberg, headed by Prof. Rob Russell, specialising in protein structure and mechanistic data analysis. Their focus is on genetic variants associated with cancer and inherited diseases. Their tools, such as Mechismo and Mechnetor, improve structure-based studies of protein changes. Working globally, they investigate genetic diseases, cancers and GPCR coupling, resulting in predictive methods and impactful insights.

Your responsibilities

  • You will support the management of BioQuant with a variety of secretarial tasks and responsible administrative activities in the administrative management of the business
  • Administration of budget funds
  • Financial administration of national and international third-party funded projects
  • Participation in personnel administration for academic staff and student assistants assistants
  • Support in the conception and realisation of public relations measures
  • Assisting with the organisation and running of workshops, conferences and meetings

Your profile

  • Vocational training in the commercial or administrative field or comparable knowledge and experience
  • Experience in the administration of third-party funded projects is an advantage
  • Experienced handling of common IT applications (SAP, MS Office)
  • Very good communication skills and very good knowledge of German and English
  • Ability to work in a team and sense of responsibility
  • Structured, independent and solution-orientated way of working
  • Professional and friendly demeanour

Depending on qualifications, remuneration is paid up to pay group 9a TV-L
