Prof. Dr. Vytauté Starkuviené-Erfle studied biochemistry at Vilnius University, Lithuania (VU) and did her PhD in molecular genetics at Göttingen University, Germany. Since 2001, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher at EMBL, Heidelberg and joined BioQuant as a junior group leader in 2007. Since 2016, she has been a professor for cell biology at VU and participates in the EMBL-VU Partnership Institute since 2022. She is also appointed as Vize-Director for international collaborations at the LSC, VU.
